There are many things to consider when organising an event. One aspect is applying for permits and notifications for a number of different purposes. The number of permits needed to organise an event depends on its size and nature. Typically, a land use permit and a notification to the police will do for smaller events, while larger events may require temporary diversion of traffic, a notificaition of noise and a food sales licence.

When does an event require permission?
All outdoor events and sales require permission from the landowner. If you wish to organize an event in a public area owned by the city, such as a park, street or market square, you must get permission from the city of Turku. Fill in the event announcement form below. The form is in Finnish/Swedish.
