Turku Day will be celebrated in the historic Old Great Market Square and the Turku Market Square on Sunday 17th of September. There will be a cheerful and lively market atmosphere.
The Turku Day market event will again take place on the Turku Market Square. The Old Great Market Square, meanwhile, is full of cheerful atmosphere all the way to the courtyard of the Brinkkala Mansion. In addition to the stage programme, there will be plenty of Turku-based associations, clubs and council parties presenting their activities.
On Turku Day all students have the opportunity to get to know their home town by participating in cheerful Turku Day Appro!
The City of Turku invites students to explore their hometown on Turku Day. The Appro is free of charge. At the Appro, participants visit different Turku Day events and collect stamps on their Appropass. After collecting enough stamps, participants will get overall badges for finishing their degree.
Fölläri bikes
Turku city bikes, also known as fölläri bikes, have returned! Users will open and close the 3-speed bikes with the Donkey Republic smartphone app, which also displays information about the rental. The new city bike system includes stations with physical racks as well as virtual stations. You can drive the fölläri bike for one hour with the basic fee, after which the additional time price comes into effect
